just found a trex 550 clone in ebay looks sweet

anyone heard of WINRC as a clone brand ?

never heard of that brand. just going by the pics it looks good though! the feather shaft screws seem to sit very far out of the blade grips though...i guess we wont know if its any good unless someone takes a punt and buys it! :wink:

I fly the 550 FBL and a the 600 from vwinrc. the quality is good. I had no problem. i brought my from helicopterhobbies.com. It came with carbon blades and fiber glass canopy.

Looks ok, but no blades or canopy. Align - trex co uk sell a genuine V2 with blades for £315 though...

That's about the same as my 500. Bags of room in there for a heli that size so there's no need to keep them short like a 450 size.

Looks like a nice heli - in the pictures! Re-badged Tarot maybe?

ah right didnt know that.never had anything bigger than a 450. i just became a lot more interested in this heli...but dont tell the mrs! :wink:

+ £40 for main blades +£40 for a canopy +£12 for tail blades

Its Flybarred, not FBL

and you have the risk of import charges.......

My money would go on the genuine align FBL kit with blades and canopy for £315 in the UK

Very true. Plus the risk that you will have to replace a few bits - even my Tart needed £20 of Align parts to get it up to scratch. And another £23 customs and Parcefart fees ... not to mention a 4 week wait :roll:
It was only worth it 'cos it only cost me £90 special deal.
You gotta do the maths and add 50/50 chance of taxes @ 30% including Pfart charges.

My wife stops at zebra crossings when the pedestrians are still in the shop :roll:

I was reversing her new car yesterday (she's had it nearly a month) and when the reverse sensor beeped she jumped and said "What the hell is that?"
