hi, cant afford to buy new heli but wondered what options there were from hobbyking in particular, as im buying other stuff, for a motor upgrade on my belt cp v2???
Im using a 45Amp YEP ESC from hobbyking.
Thanks in advance
are you using a programable transmitter if not this is the best upgrade you can do to the belt not the cheapest upgrade but when you progress to a better heli you can use the transmitter with the new heli too.
Trex 450 Pro DFC/Mini vbar pro/Edge blades
Synergy E5 mini vbar pro edge blades
Multiplex Twister 4S
The only things I upgraded on my Belt CPv2 was a GY48V Gyro + Savox servo , ESC 40A Hobbywing and Spektrum DX6i. I also added some 50 odd grams of weight under the nose to get the balance right. The extra weight seems to improve the stability somewhat but the Gyro upgrade doesn't seem to be any better than the Esky one.
I have come to the conclusion that if you don't go expensive on the gyro you'll be wasting money.
Everybody complains about the sloppy head which is true in a way but if you do some "blueprinting" (if I may call it that ), it does improve stability somewhat. Still not Trex but liveable.
