MCPX DX6i settings

by gambler72 » Fri Dec 09, 2011 6:06 pm

Just set up my DX6i ready for use with my MCPX. The question I have is, I have my dual rates set to FM (the way i like it) so I can change all my dual rates with 1 switch, problem is this is the same switch for idle up / stunt mode. Does that matter? is that just the way its meant to be. If so great! if not how do I change my dual rate button to a different switch but still keep it 1 switch for all dual rates. Any ideas?

Hi

You should be able to assign either, the AILE,ELEV or RUDD switches for switching all dual rates with the 1 switch.
Simply select "D/R COMBI from the SETUP menu and you should be able to set whichever switch you wish to use for that function.
(Page 12 of the user's manual actually covers this)

Hope this helps

its on the second menu rather than the first mate. scroll all the way down to where it says setup list, click that. then its the 7th option down: d/r combi. click that and then you can select which switch you want to activate your dual rates with.i wouldnt use it on the fm switch as at some point you will want to fly the mcpx in idle up,for flying in a bit of a breeze for instance. i use the rudder switch personally, but its up to you which one you select. :)

The newer version has the grommet mod already done and a slightly bigger tail rotor among other things apperently. So you should be able to tell just by seeing if the grommets are already on the swash balls.

This game is no different to anything else.

You buy a laptop and a month later it is out of date, buy a camera and the same company releases an updated version with more mega pixels etc etc.

Perhaps the reason they supply so many grommets in the first place is because they knew of the issue?

yeah im kida p*ssed off now! thanks for ruining my day boys!
i suppose its a broad as it is long as ive already done the grommit mod and boom mod,but it would of been nice if they had been done already.
before i ordered it i mailed them to make sure it had the b blade grips, they really should of made me aware it was the older model then i think. ah well, worse things happen at sea n all that!

I can't see any reason to supply them at all other than to do the mod, more links would have been a better choice.

And I am yet to lose a grommet myself, ever! Have lost my marbles though

I had the elevator servo glitch a couple of times today - but I can't recreate it on the bench. But it was very cold outside so maybe that was the cause ....

There is normally one pack of spare links, grommets and an extra tail rotor + the bullet blades.

so the question is (im trying to make myself feel better here lol)...........if you put a slightly bigger tail rotor on, use a better battery and do the grommet mod.....all of which cost pence, the only other difference is the flybarless sensor. Does this sensor really make the newer ones fly that much better than the old? Anyone flown both? Just curious.

it looks like the v1 is just as good as the v2 without the mods already done! For that reason ive just ordered better batterys and some kdbb tail blades. Which gromments do i order to have spares to do the swash plate mod? are they the mcpx canopy grommets cut in half?

The only grommet that needs to be cut in half is the rear one.
