How to set up FMS with your 4ch Transmitter

by ricky23432 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 10:50 pm

Controller Unit Version:

1. Install the FMS software following the on screen instructions
2. Plug cable into your USB port.
3. Wait for windows to detect and show 'installing new hardware' message.
4. When complete, unplug the USB cable then re-insert.
5. Open the FMS program.
6. Go to Controls > Analogue Control > Joystick interface > Mapping/Calibration
7. Set the mapping as shown below
Image
8. Click 'Calibrate' button and move sticks in circular motion - then centre them.
9. Click Finish and Ok
10. Choose a helicopter model from the models menu and start flying!

The left stick should now move the heli up/down and turn left/right (ie. stick
pulled left moves nose left - forward stick moves heli upwards).

The right stick should tilt the heli side to side and back/forward (ie.
forward tilts nose down - pulling stick right tilts heli to right).

(These settings apply to mode 2 transmitter set-ups)

USB Lead Version:

1. Install the FMS software following the on screen instructions
2. Switch on transmitter (with batteries loaded).
3. Plug cable into back of Tx and into your USB port.
4. Wait for windows to detect and show 'installing new hardware' message.
5. When complete, unplug the USB cable then re-insert - the red light on plug should now flash rapidly.
6. Open the FMS program.
7. Go to Controls > Analogue Control > Joystick interface > Mapping/Calibration
8. Set the mapping as shown below (for Honey Bee transmitter).

If using the Robins 22 transmitter: NO Inv boxes are ticked.
If using the CP2 sim cable: Tick channel 3 Inv boxes only.

9. Click the 'Calibrate' button and move sticks in circular motion - then centre them.
10. Click Finish and Ok
11. Choose a helicopter model from the models menu and start flying!

FMS for Esky lama 0404 transmitter

by frankruedi » Fri Dec 05, 2008 4:57 pm

Hi,
Saw your posting, applied it and thought I had it. But still my rudder action is wrong way round, i.e. left stick to left moves nose to right.
I used the following setting 4,2,3,1,4,2,3,1 with rudder and tail inv

Would really appreciate the solution so I can start flying.
Thanks in advance
Frank

Hi, I am pretty sure you need to tick or untick the box below Inv which is opposite rudder or tail. Hope this works, Mick.

Thanks for posting this, it has been really useful, but I have noticed the pitch is the wrong way round for my honeybee v2 i.e push up tilts back. Can anyone help me!
