Binding problem?

by Chazz » Mon Apr 13, 2009 1:14 pm

On the 4-in-1 the system seems to bind OK with the transmitter except: status light on 4-1 is solid red (no longer green) and servos work OK but motors don't run up.

Is this a problem with the binding or the 4-1 unit?

Thanks.

If the servos work then it is not a binding problem.
Is the throttle and throttle trim all the way down before connecting the helicopter battery?

Hmm. Idle-Up switch? Should be away from you.
If the servos move then your transmitter is getting through so it has bound itself to the 4-in-1 but one of the safeties has cut in. Throttle position or Idle-Up will do this.

I can't see it affecting the throttle but if you move the helicopter too soon after plugging in the battery, the gyro won't initialise.

Cheers Kev, simple but the idle switch was up.

Many thanks.
